Greetings from Guatemala, we are happy to tell you about all that is going on in the ministry. We had some visitors, Bobbie and Austin Forbes came down for a week and we had a great time ministering with them. We have been pretty busy with water ministry too.
First let me tell you about the things happening with the water ministry. We took 25 water filter systems to Coban, Guatemala, that is about 5 hours North of where we live. We met and turned over the water filters to a couple named Rocky and Karren Chupa. They have been working with a small village near Chisec, Guatemala. The people in this village ,about 25 families, have no electricity so the filter buckets are a great fit there. They took them and gave them to the families and explained how to assemble and use them. The families were so happy to now have a source of pure water. Then about 2 weeks later Georgette and I made the trip to Chisec to visit the Chupas, learn a little more about their ministry and to help with some problems they were having with their own water well. Very nice people and we were happy that we could help.
Ok now for the visit from Bobbie and Austin Forbes. These guys have been here several times before and love Guatemala and love to come and continue to grow relationships with their friends. They came and did an awesome job of loving on the kids and sharing the love of Jesus with all. They brought a bunch of clothes for the kids and they bought these shoes for these girls before they left ,but couldn’t take them to them, so they left them with Georgette to take them back. What a blessing. It seems that they will be coming back every chance they get. Thank you Bobbie and Austin for giving to the Lord.
This reminds me of the scripture in Matthew 25:40 “The King will reply, ” Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.”
Now for our prayer request, please prayer our health as we go and have annual checkups and get medical attention. Also please pray for the continued relationships that we work to build , and for salvations from that.
