Greetings to all, We pray that you and your families are all doing well. We had a great time with a small group from Macclenny, Florida Church of God. We are still installing lots of stoves every day. Also I went to an orphanage in Chimaltenango to remove and replace a sub pump in their water well. The painting of the feeding center Campos de Suenos is just almost finished. We will be putting in a water purification system for a new orphanage being built in Sumpango.
OK we had a group of 3 guys from Church of God Mcclenny, Fl. who came and spent a few days going to some of our areas of ministry, Rio Bravo feeding center, installed some stoves in Pastores, and went to the feeding center at Santa Maris de Jesus. They stayed at the mission house so they could check it out for housing teams in the future there. We tried to go to Casa Shalom, an orphanage that they have been to before, but nobody was there the day we went. They were all at a big birthday party in a different part of the country. Thank you Rev. Shannon Conner, Leonard Whitaker, and Trey Whitaker.
With the help of Obed and Anna, Gary and Anita Senesac we are still installing about 20 stoves a month, in Santa Maria de Jesus, Pastores, San Lucas, and San Bartolo. It is hard to comprehend how much of a blessing this is for those families. Thank you all who are giving to the stove ministry.
The orphanage that I went to in Chimaltenango is called Los Gozosos which means Joy Filled homes. It is an orphanage for disabled children, there are about 12 children there now. They don’t have reliable water from the city and needed some help with their water well. So I replaced the sub-pump, put in casing, gravel packed it, and new cable. It is wonderful to be able to help people with water needs here. Thank you everybody who gives to the water ministry.
Georgette has been working very hard with the help of Pastor Gabriel and Jeremias to finish the painting work going on at Campos de Suenos. They are true servant leaders. It is just about all painted.
The new orphanage that is bing built in Sumpago is planning to be up and going by the end of the year. I will be going over to install 2- 12 gallon per minute water purification systems. These systems will provide purified water for the complete facility that will eventually house 100 children. Thank you for giving to the pure water efforts.
We have a few visitors coming in October and November then we will be coming to Texas for Thanksgiving and Christmas. This will be the first time in seven years that we have been able to be home for Thanksgiving.
And now for our prayer and praise God section, We want to give God praise in the fact that we have been in Guatemala for seven years and still love living here and serving Him here. Please pray for my family as this is one year of the passing of my mother, Zola Kornegay. Please pray for all the people we are trying to minister to through stoves, homes, and pure water.
