Happy Mother’s Day to all the precious Mothers. We praise God for your love and service to your families.
The day after Easter, we had a couple from Florida come and serve for a week with us. Steve and Celestine Boyd are some friends we met 3 years ago on a team and they just fell in love with this country and the people. They tried to come back every year, but things just didn’t work out. This year, although they had some set backs, they were able to come. They installed 5 stoves, distributed 10 bags of food, funded 3 soup kitchens at Land of Hope (Esquintla), visited Campos de Suenos, the government day care, and gave out tons of oranges. We enjoyed their stay so much.
We helped McClenny Church of God with their school of Christ. It is an intense 3 week program to train and equip Pastors in their churches. It was held in Rio Bravo, at Pastor Freddy’s church, with 35 pastors attending. Our ministry provided transportation and translators for them.
Bob and the guys have started working back at the school in Yalu drilling for water. He hopes to be finished with this project soon as our team season is about to begin.
We have a couple, Dennis and Lisa Blum, coming the last of May to do ministry for a week and I’ll post their pictures in the next newsletter.
Prayer requests are : health and safety for our teams coming, a successful water well at the school, safety on all project sites.
